Meet the Pros

 

Tom Skoglund is entering his second year at T&C as the Director of Golf.  He has been in the Golf Business for over 25 years and a PGA Member since 1995.  He most recently was the Director of Golf for the past 14 seasons at White Bear Yacht Club.  He also was the Head Golf Professional at Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, as well as the Director of Golf at Grand Traverse Resort & Spa in Traverse City, Michigan.

Tom Graduated from the College of St. Thomas in 1987.   He and his wife, Melanie will be celebrating their 26thwedding anniversary this year and have 2 children.  Matt attends The University of St. Thomas and Rachel attends Gustavus Adolphus.

 

Brady Engen is entering his third year as Assistant Golf Professional at Town & Country Club.  Brady returned to us after previously serving in our Outside Operations in 2010.  In 2011, Brady went on to take an Assistant opportunity at Olympic Hills Golf Club for two years, and most recently came from Wayzata Country Club.


Brady graduated from The Golf Academy of America in December 2009 with a degree in Golf Complex Operations and Business Management.  Brady became a Class “A” PGA Member at the end of 2014 and is looking to grow his knowledge of the golf business and work towards his Certified Professional Certification in the upcoming years.  Brady currently resides in Hopkins with his fiancé Melanie and dog Zoey.






    



 

Sara Evens has worked at Town & Country Club for sixteen years and is currently the Head Teaching Professional and Director of Women's Leagues and Youth Programs. In both the spring and fall, Sara is the Head Women’s Golf Coach at the University of St. Thomas, where she has taken her team to compete in six National Championships, earned MIAC Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2014 and Midwest Regional Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2007. 

Sara started her golf career at the University of Minnesota where she earned a full scholarship, was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and earned All-Big Ten honors all four years. Sara’s efforts on the Gophers golf team won her four individual titles and was named MVP three out of four years.

After graduation, she competed on the Futures Tour (professional mini-tour) for four years. With that experience, she was hired at T&C, and has earned her PGA membership. Sara currently resides in Ramsey with her family and continues to give back to the game that she starting playing at the age of 10.







             
Taybin Tushaus is entering his second year as Assistant Golf Professional at Town & Country Club.  He has over 15 years experience in the golf business, and brings an abundance of experience specializing in teaching, tournament operations, merchandising and customer service skills. Taybin served as Head Professional of Minnetonka Country for the last seven years where he has a proven track record of team building, growing the game through establishing member and member/guest tournament programs and growing a junior golf program that was always well received. 

Taybin lives in Savage MN with Rachel, his wife of thirteen years. When not on the golf course, Taybin enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, watching movies and playing the drums at a beginner level.
